2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy AWD: A Luxury Redefined
When we took delivery of this Rockwood Green Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, the 2024 SoCal “Airport Fire” had just started about 5 miles from our location and was initially posing a serious threat to houses in this area. Overnight the wind shifted and the fire was pushed into the direction of Lake Elsinore while expanding massively. As you may know, we always shoot the exterior of the cars on the top of Elsinore Mountains overlooking Lake Elsinore. Due to the fire we could not do this of course.
So Initially we ended up doing a base shoot in the local area with the smoke overcast from the fire in the background. This was later followed by a drive up to Las Vegas to hopefully get some shots with a blue skies as in the other photo shoots. Thankfully the day of the pickup of the vehicle, the Highway 74 was cleared again and we could make our way up to our old location, unsure of what we would find there, what damage the fire had caused to the known location.
It was shocking to see all the damage that the fire had caused. It was still burning, but no longer in the area of the 74, but along the 74 towards Lake Elsinore the devastation was complete. Thankfully the firemen had been able to save quite a few structures, but 36 were totally destroyed, among which a place with a vast collection of non restored old cars, buses and trucks. That was completely burned to the ground. Our shooting location was miraculously not touched by the flames at all, although very close to it there was significant signs of the fire’s intensity.
We would like to wish all victims of this fire all the strength to rebuild and hopefully get their lives back, and would like to also give great thanks to all the various fire fighters from many different regions who all played their important part in getting this and other fires in SoCal under control at risk for their own well being! Thank you!

On the B-Pillar you will find two inset areas on both sides of the vehicle. These are there to make it easier to get to the roof to strap things on and get them off again. Once you open the rear side doors you will find a small recess into which you can fit a key, even your house key will suffice. Simply insert a key and rotate it forward and you can depress the top rectangle creating the grab handle to hold on to. Once you are done simply turn the key back up and the flap with close. A very practical and much appreciated solution!
