Wild Donkervoort Ideas Inspired Reminiscing About Past Projects

Since starting FORESEE CAR DESIGN, INC. 1994 I have been in regular contact with Joop Donkervoort, founder of Donkervoort Automobielen in the Netherlands. In fact, I designed the first concept car as Foresee for Joop and we displayed it at the Donkervoort stand of the Geneva Motorshow in Switzerland at the beginning of March 1994.
I was pioneering the use of computers for 2D sketching linked to computers creating 3D models. I used #Painter, #Photoshop and #Premiere on the Apple Macintosh, and was running #AliasAutoStudio, at that time still a #Wavefront company, on my SGI machine.
At the Donkervoort stand we showed this complete and efficient design process and received a lot of attention from media and industry professionals alike. Since that time, this design process has become standard in every automotive design studio.
Over the years I have executed some very inyeresting projects for Joop, and now, looking back over all those years, I was inspired to grab pen and paper and do some wild doodles. I ran some of them with variations through Depix AI and got a very nice and inspiring set of images.
Dank je Joop Donkervoort!
